Well the most obvious of these is that you need to be part of the IMVU community, if you aren't then you will find a signup link for IMVU in the Useful Links section of this site.
I have listed below what you need to do to become a content creator or developer for IMVU
- Signup to become a member of IMVU
- Purchase your avatar name from IMVU i.e. so there is no longer "guest_" in front of your username
- Purchase some IMVU credits (links can be found in Useful Links section)
- Register your name with IMVU Creator Central
- Download and install the Previewer program from Creator Central onto your pc
- Have a graphics program installed on your pc, ideally Photoshop CS2 or CS3 (Microsoft Paint will work for basic stickers etc)
- Have an account on either Photobucket or ImageShack (links to both can be found in Useful Links section)
- Some basic understanding of HTML codes
- Lots of creative ideas
- And most importantly LOTS of patience
